6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

Bees
April 19, 2007
You may be wondering why my post today is called bees. Last week, my sister Courtney went to check the mail. When she came in, she said she saw what looked to be a hive.
Later as the day went on, the bees formed a circle in our yard telling us they were not making a hive. When Dad arrived, he explained to us they were probably starting a new hive.
Here is a picture of the circle

And a picture of the bees up close

Today’s Scripture Meditation
James 1:12-14
12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

Today’s Scripture Meditation
Deut 5:1-21 CHAPTER 5
1 Moses summoned all Israel and said: Hear, O Israel, the decrees and laws I declare in your hearing today. Learn them and be sure to follow them.
2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us at Horeb.
3 It was not with our fathers that the LORD made this covenant, but with us, with all of us who are alive here today.
4 The LORD spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.
5 (At that time I stood between the LORD and you to declare to you the word of the LORD, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain.) And he said:
6 “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
7 “You shall have no other gods before me.
8 “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
10 but showing love to a thousand of those who love me and keep my commandments.
11 “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
12 “Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the LORD your God has commanded you.
13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor the alien within your gates, so that your manservant and maidservant may rest, as you do.
15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the LORD your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
16 “Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
17 “You shall not murder.
18 “You shall not commit adultery.
19 “You shall not steal.
20 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
21 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. You shall not set your desire on your neighbor’s house or land, his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

Today’s Scripture Meditation
I Jn 1:1-10CHAPTER 1
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched– this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
4 We write this to make our joy complete.
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
(NIV)

Water Off AGAIN!
March 13, 2007Good evening everyone!
Well, the water has been turned off AGAIN. The construction workers are constantly turning the water off without telling anybody. This time however, when they turned it off, tons of sediment came through the water pipes destroying the heating element. Every time they turn it off it pretty much makes everything in the house come to a screeching halt.

Today’s Scripture Meditation
Ps 1:1-6CHAPTER 1
1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.(NIV)

Saturday!
February 3, 2007I decided to go ahead and post for tomorrow, because we will probably very BUSY over the course of this weekend. If you have not read on my Sister’s blog or my Mom’s blog we have been remodeling the master bathroom. So far, we have repaired parts of the water damaged floor, and began tiling the inner part of the bathroom. This weekend’s main goal is to get a tub in are bathroom before Monday. This is simply because, it’s pretty hard to shower 10 people in just 1 small bathtub!!!!

Random Thing You Didn’t Know About Our Family
We use the buddy system, just like when you are swimming you have a swimming buddy,
when you are below the age of 7 you have a big buddy. They help you get dressed, show you how to do your chores, and help keep track of you when you are in public.
(This makes Mom’s job A WHOLE LOT EASIER!!!!!!) When you first become a big buddy you will need to be trained how to be a big buddy. So we have senior buddy’s to teach the big buddy’s how to manage and teach the little buddy’s. This way the house stays cleaner, and organized!
