Bathroom Updates

March 5, 2007

Good morning everyone!

As you know, we have been remodeling our bathroom. We now have all the plastic sheeting on the wall and are starting to put the backer board up. When we finish with the backer board, Mom and Courtney will put tile on the wall. We hope to have the tub up and running by this weekend.

Random Thing You Did Not Know About Our Family

When we cook meals, we ALWAYS have to double, triple, and even sometimes quadruple our recipes to make enough for everyone…… It may take longer to cook but, you do get really good at math :)

Today’s Task

These are the list of things we would like to have done before the end of the day.

Home school
Deep clean the bathrooms and kitchen
Continue work on the bathroom
Continue work on our websites

What I Am Learning

DUST COLLECTS ON ANYTHING….

Last night, while Dad was sanding in our bathroom we forgot that we needed to cover everything up, and when the door opened to the master bathroom dust got EVERYWHERE! After vacuuming up the mess, I went to empty our vacuum container outside. I promise it looked like an upside down mushroom cloud!!!

Today’s Scripture Meditation

This is one of my favorite passages in the Bible, it is applicable to everyone:

James 3:2-122 We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.
3 When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal.

4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.

5 Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man,

8 but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness.

10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.

11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?

12 My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.(NIV)

I will blog again soon!

Today’s Task

Dust Bedroom

Today’s Scripture Meditation

Col 4:1-18CHAPTER 4
1 Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.

6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

7 Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord.

8 I am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know about our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts.

9 He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here.

10 My fellow prisoner Aristarchus sends you his greetings, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas. (You have received instructions about him; if he comes to you, welcome him.)

11 Jesus, who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have proved a comfort to me.

12 Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.

13 I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis.

14 Our dear friend Luke, the doctor, and Demas send greetings.

15 Give my greetings to the brothers at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.

16 After this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea.

17 Tell Archippus: “See to it that you complete the work you have received in the Lord.”18 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.(NIV)

Till Next Time!
